When developing Web-based applications, I must often use CSS to control the look and feel of my projects. Although I always manage to muddle through the process, I have never been comfortable with cascading style sheets and almost always find myself doing a bit of trial and error work to see how things are turning out. I’m convinced that graphic designers are better positioned to develop style sheets than software developers, though in practice, the latter often find themselves translating designs delivered as graphics files into CSS for deployment.
